Purpose Statement:
The Lake County Municipal League is an intergovernmental organization of Lake County municipalities, developed to further cooperation and information sharing among municipal governments, to provide appropriate educational opportunities for municipal officials, and to promote legislation of benefit to Lake County municipalities.

LCML Membership meeting
August 21, 2008
Save the date for the next LCML Membership Meeting at the Vernon Hills Golf Course, 291 Evergreen.
Topics include:
- Will Northeastern Illinois Have Enough Water?: A discussion of current planning for future water demand, its impact on supplies from Lake Michigan, shallow and deep aquifers and other sources, and potential conflicts and policy implications.
- The economic impact of tourism on Lake County.
Featured speakers include Tim Loftus, Project Manager CMAP, Ed Gladfelter and Tom Hyde speaking on the water issues, and Maureen Riedy, President, Lake County, Illinois Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Please note: the social portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 pm and the program begins at 6:30 pm.
