Legislative Breakfast
The Lake County Municipal League will be hosting its
annual Legislative Breakfast, Saturday, February 3,
from 8:30-10:00 am. Join LCML for an opportunity to
meet local legislators and discuss Lake County
issues.
The event will be held in the Round Lake Beach Civic
& Cultural Center north of Rollins Road on Hook Drive.

February 15 Meeting focuses on Education Funding Reform
Elgin Mayor Edward Schock will be the featured
speaker at the LCML February 15, business meeting.
He will discuss the efforts of the Metropolitan Mayors
Caucus Education Reform Committee.
Other topics to be discussed include presentation
of the "Home Grown, Local Housing Strategies in
Action" manual; discussion of the direction of Lake
County Partners; and a proposal by the Metropolitan
Planning Council for "One Percent for Planning."
The meeting will be held at the Vernon Hills Golf
Course, Route 45 and Evergreen, from 6:00-8:30 pm.

Save the date for the Lake County Municipal
League's annual golf outing on Thursday, September
20, at White Deer Run Golf Club. Sponsors, raffle

Youth Safari 2007
Employment & Resource Fair
The Job Center of Lake County is sponsoring the
Youth Safari 2007, an employment and resource fair
for young adults. If you are planning to hire
employees who fall in the 15-21 year old range for
summer, part-time or full-time employment, this fair
will give you an opportunity to recruit them.
The fair will be held on March 15, from 6:00 to 8:00
pm at the College of Lake County. Early Bird
registration for table space is February 15. For more
