The Lake County Municipal League will be hosting its annual Legislative Breakfast, Saturday, February 3, from 8:30-10:00 am. Join LCML for an opportunity to meet local legislators and discuss Lake County issues.

Elgin Mayor Edward Schock will be the featured speaker at the LCML February 15, business meeting. He will discuss the efforts of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus Education Reform Committee.

Other topics to be discussed include presentation of the "Home Grown, Local Housing Strategies in Action" manual; discussion of the direction of Lake County Partners; and a proposal by the Metropolitan Planning Council for "One Percent for Planning."

The Job Center of Lake County is sponsoring the Youth Safari 2007, an employment and resource fair for young adults. If you are planning to hire employees who fall in the 15-21 year old range for summer, part-time or full-time employment, this fair will give you an opportunity to recruit them.
