If you have a piece of legislation your would like to see introduced, please explain your proposal in detail and fax it back to LCML at (847) 546-2064 or mail it to LCML, 1937 N. Municipal Way, Round Lake Beach 60073 by August 22. Speaking with a unified voice makes the message louder and clearer.

Be sure to include a summary of the proposal, the rationale for it and examples of the problem it rectifies. Include your name, title, municipal affiliation and a phone number.

Bridging Boundaries

Chicago area working families are searching longer and harder for homes they can afford in communities with good jobs and good schools. The State of Illinois has developed a comprehensive housing policy to combat this problem.

Hear how model partnerships between local towns and employers in the north and northwest suburbs are helping people live near where they work.

Bridging Boundaries: Mayors Partnering to Close the Jobs-Housing Gap will be presented by the Metropolitan Planning Council on Friday, August 24, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Charter One Bank, 71 S. Wacker Dr, Chicago.

Register by calling Pam Lee at (312) 863-6011 or online at www.metroplanning.org. Cost is $15 for MPC donors and $30 for all others.
