The impact of the Streamlined Sales Tax Bill SB 1429
How will the Streamlined Sales Tax bill impact your community? Changing sales tax from "point of sale" to destination can have a huge impact on a community's budget.
What can you do?
- Review your sales tax generators and revenues to determine what the impact of this bill could mean to your municipality.
- Contact your legislator to let them know the impact of SB 1429 on your community and ask them develop a mitigation plan that addresses the impact on all municipalities.
- Attend the October 23 meeting at the Vernon Hills Village Hall, 290 Evergreen Drive, 10:00 am. Be prepared to discuss your specific projected impact.
